5K Walk Run - The Sidewinder

2008 Race
Our 5K run/walk was held on October 18, 2008. The 5K course we were working on at the park was not ready by race day. The race was held at the old site in the town of Forbes Road. We thank the Forbes Road Fire Department for blocking traffic on the roads during the race. The race was very competitive. The overall male winner was Brad Herrington with a time of 18:22. The overall female winner was Anna McGowan with a time of 24:27. We thank our volunteers, sponsors and Boy Scout Troop 211 for helping out with the race. We are continuing to work with the scouts to complete our 5K course for next year. See the race results and support our local sponsors.
